JOWHAR DISTRICT, MIDDLE SHABELLE
CONTRIBUTION GOAL

project Overview
The Seeds of Change Initiative supports 10 low-income, vulnerable farming families in Jowhar District, with certified seeds, essential tools, and training in climate-smart agriculture - helping them grow more food and strengthen their livelihoods.
Why that matters
In Jowhar District, Middle Shabelle region many families depend on small-scale farming to survive. But rising temperatures, erratic rainfall, seasonal floods, and soaring costs are destroying harvests and pushing households deeper into hunger.
We equip smallholder farmers with certified seeds, durable tools, and tractor support for land preparation. Combined with hands-on training in climate-smart methods, the project helps families grow more food, protect their soil, and build resilience against the shocks that threaten their livelihoods.
